Stephen Battersby
Stephen Battersby is a science writer and editor with a background in astrophysics. He holds a PhD from Imperial College London, where he studied black holes, and has worked at Nature and New Scientist. His article on Titan’s methane seas won the American Astronomical Society’s 2015 Jonathan Eberhart Award. He lives on a houseboat on the Thames, where the rivers’ currents inspired his first book – Universal Tide: How Tides Drive Life and Shape the Cosmos, from Beaches to Black Holes – to be published in 2027 by Granta (World English).
