Harris Irfan
Harris Irfan is an investment banker with over two decades of experience in London and the Middle East, and founder of the corporate finance advisory boutique Cordoba Capital. He was the co-founder of Deutsche Bank’s world leading Islamic finance team where he led some of the most ground-breaking deals in the industry, and CEO of its Islamic finance subsidiary. He was subsequently appointed global head of Islamic finance at Barclays and then head of investment banking at Rasmala group. He is widely recognized as one of the world’s leading authorities on Islamic finance and speaks as an industry expert with the BBC, CNN, Sky News, CNBC, Bloomberg, Reuters and the Financial Times, as well as giving talks to a wide range of audiences including the Bank of England, the Oxford Union and the Dubai International Writers’ Centre. Born in 1972 to parents of Pakistani origin, he was brought up in the UK and has a degree in physics from the University of Oxford. He lives in Surrey, England.
