Christine Garwood
Christine Garwood has a BA in history and a PhD in the history of science from the University of Leicester. She was formerly a research fellow at the Open University, where she was principal archivist of the Wallace Project. The author of several articles on Alfred Russel Wallace and on Victorian and Edwardian science and society more generally, she now works as a consultant for heritage and heritage preservation, and is interested in nineteenth- and twentieth-century new towns and utopian urban experiments. She is an associate member of the Centre for Regional and Local History Research at the University of Hertfordshire.
