Briana Toole

Briana Toole is an assistant professor of philosophy at Claremont McKenna College and founder of Corrupt the Youth, a programme that brings philosophy to high-school-aged populations that have been historically excluded from the academy. Her research is focused on epistemology, philosophy of race and gender, and social and political philosophy. Her work has appeared in Guernica, Hypatia, Episteme, Analysis, Philosophy Compass and the Journal for the American Philosophical Association. From 2022 to 2023 she was a Laurance S. Rockefeller fellow in the Center for Human Values at Princeton University.

Toole is currently at work on a book titled By the Roots: How We Reclaim the Radical Power of Resistance, to be published in 2027 by Oxford University Press (World English).
